I love wearing leather fragrances during the colder months! However, I find it difficult to find one that works well on me. Although the scent of leather lies in the middle, between masculine and feminine tones, I find that leather fragrances tend to be too much on the masculine side for my taste. Luckily Ramon Monegal Cuirelle fits the unisex designation perfectly with their interpretation of Cuirelle – a very unique sweetened leather fragrance.
Cuirelle opens with a big blast of incense and bourbon that lasts for only a few moments. A few minutes later, a very light patchouli enters the mix, along with a hint of cedar which adds that leather feeling. For me, the scent of leather evokes memories, it comforts and excites me all at the same time. Finally, a hint of sensual cinnamon and sweet sticky beeswax rounds out the bourbon-woodsy scent and leaves a soft powdery suede impression.
