What? Sniffapalooza? Really? Yup! I am off to New York to experience the Sniffapalooza Fall Ball. Natalie and I leave bright and early on Friday morning after our first VIP Shopping Night on Thursday – I hope you will come out on Thursday and join us for a glass of champagne and see what is new at the store as well as enjoy some special savings!
It should be an interesting early morning Friday especially since we are bringing Carl Ruscica and Joanne Pasquin from Intervista Films to film our weekend and share with you our experience not only at Sniffapalooza, but also interviews with the some of the perfume brands that we currently have in the store: Atelier Cologne, l’Artisan Parfumeur and Penhaligon’s.
I decided to go down to Sniffapalooza to learn more about perfume and to see what is new and exciting in New York. It is important to me to see what is going on in beauty and to be able to bring back new ideas to Etiket. Sniffapalooza seemed like a great opportunity to have Natalie there to get her input and since we have started a series of videos on YouTube for The Etiket Insider,
I asked Carl and Joanne if they would like to come down and shoot the whole thing. My goal at Etiket is always to find not only the newest, but also what I consider to be the best, and what could be more fun than to share that with all of you?
Friday we are on the 6:40 AM flight to La Guardia, which for any of you who have done it, know, it is anything but glamorous!
We arrive at 8 AM and will drop off our bags before we start with our first appointment at 10 AM to see a possible new supplier – details to follow!
From there we head down to NoLita to Atelier Cologne to do our first video interview with Ross who will explain to us exactly what a Cologne Absolue is.
We are going to squeeze in some lunch before heading back uptown to Henri Bendel’s and an interview with Celene at the l‘Artisan Parfumeur counter and hope to be able to do an interview with Sherma at the Penhaligon’s counter at Saks.
Then we are heading back downtown to Min NY to see what we can learn from them. We should be ready to drop by then but we will do our best to continue before we head back to the Grand Hyatt and then head out for dinner and make it an early night I am sure.
